We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, caulking, plastering, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray systems), and other hand or power tools with precision and efficiency
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute painting projects according to design requirements
- Perform structural painting on various surfaces such as stucco, concrete, metal, and wood in both interior and exterior settings
- Conduct surface preparation for construction spray painting and coating applications on commercial, industrial, or residential structures
- Use ladders safely to access elevated areas while adhering strictly to safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols
- Assist with fixture installation, trim carpentry, caulking, and other handyman tasks as needed during renovation or remodeling projects
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and ensuring tools are well-maintained for optimal performance
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating related to painting projects and material requirements
- Strong understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and accurate visual color comparisons
- Proficiency in residential painting techniques including brush painting and roller application
- Experience with construction site safety regulations and adherence to safety protocol guidelines including respiratory protection measures
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), and equipment for surface preparation and finishing
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately for precise project execution
- Familiarity with construction site experience encompassing plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, fixture installation, frame carpentry, drywall repair, renovation work, maintenance tasks, and industrial painting processes
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses or material quantities
- Knowledge of construction estimating for project planning and resource allocation
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients effectively
