Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently across different job sites.
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, and cabinet installation with precision.
- Execute concrete forming, finishing, masonry, and stucco applications to meet project specifications.
- Install roofing systems, glass panels, flooring, tiles, and perform drywall or plastering work for interior and exterior finishes.
- Conduct construction inspection and quality control checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
- Utilize construction management software like Bluebeam for documentation, tracking progress, and collaboration.
- Assist with construction estimating and project planning to optimize resources and timelines.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes when necessary for site logistics.
- Engage in restoration projects involving demolition, rebuilding, or refurbishing existing structures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven hands-on experience in various construction trades including carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing or electrical work.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for accurate execution of tasks.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction settings.
- Experience working on diverse construction sites with knowledge of safety practices and OSHA standards.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery or equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of construction management software such as Bluebeam enhances collaboration efficiency.
- Strong understanding of building codes, inspection procedures, and quality assurance processes.
