JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to ensure product is loaded safely and accurately for on time and complete shipping to customer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Operations
· Provide paper work to those who need it in a timely manner.
· Keep materiel in stock (Cardboard etc.)
· Get trucks in so they can be loaded and ensure trucks are loaded correctly.
· Stay on top of everyday tasks
· Assist department to ensure efficiencies are met.
· Keep the supervisor informed of any issues that comes up.
Maintenance/Housekeeping
· Maintain cleanliness of the area and observe 5S Practices.
· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations to minimizing shut downs.
Product Accuracy (done in conjunction with all activities)
· Monitors all incoming and outgoing product to ensure packaging and labeling specifications are met.
Safety (done in conjunction with all activities)
· Report any safety concerns to your supervisor or Leadership immediately.
· Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
· Attend all mandatory safety training.
Other
· Perform all other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Educational and/or Experience:
Minimum Level Required: High school diploma or equivalency Preferred. At least the age of 18
Preferred: Related experience in shipping and/or woodworking
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
§ Ability to read, interpret and apply written procedures and specifications.
§ Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
§ Basic Computer skills.
Physical Requirements
Stand 8-10 hours a day
Frequent push, pull, lift up to 35 lbs
Frequent bending and twisting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
