Job Description
Position Summary
The Receiving Lead is responsible for supporting the Shipping / Receiving Supervisor in overseeing, assigning, and ensuring department goals are met. The objectives for this position are to assist as coach and facilitator to the Receiving team as well as take responsibility for continuous improvement, and effective replenishment of material to production lines. Other projects may be assigned as needed.
Organizational Relationship
This position reports directly to Juan Montes 2nd Shift Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Forklift experience is required, preferably on a Reach Truck and Stand Up Forklift
- Provide leadership support to Shipping / Receiving Supervisor
- Ensure on time startup of shift
- Audit team members for PPE
- Plan daily / weekly driver rotations and ensure all team members have needed tools / equipment
- Coordinate receiving plan for scheduled inbound throughout the day
- Receive material transfers in AS400 and print pallet labels for put away
- Troubleshoot material transaction errors, make corrections, and communicate exceptions
- Validate proper restocking of pick locations
- Ensure all team members are following SOS protocol
- Conduct weekly and monthly department audits
- Perform daily lift inspections
- Must be flexible and adaptable in ability to help the team when necessary
- Able to speak and understand both written and spoken English
- Lead / Support projects as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
- All other duties as may be assigned at management's discretion

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continually during working hours.
- Able to stand on feet for 8-10 hours a day
- Frequent exposure to wood dusts and cabinet-making materials
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is minimally required
- Understanding of Microsoft Office is not required but a plus
- Ability to work as part of a team with adherence to established safety, productivity, and quality standard Is required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
