Job Overview:
Master Tech Diesel Injection is seeking an experienced Diesel Fuel Injection Technician to join our specialized team in Boise, Idaho. Our shop focuses on high-precision rebuilding and testing of diesel fuel injection systems for Ford PowerStroke, GM Duramax, and Ram Cummins light-duty trucks, as well as agricultural, industrial, and heavy-duty applications.
This role centers on the complete disassembly, inspection, rebuilding, and calibration of diesel injection pumps and injectors using our state-of-the-art equipment, including injector test stands, injection pump test benches, media blast cabinets, sonic washers, and precision tooling.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, takes great pride in cleanliness and attention to detail, and strictly follows proper procedures, torque specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and calibrate diesel injection pumps and injectors to factory and performance specifications.
- Perform thorough cleaning and preparation of components using media blast cabinets, sonic washers, and specialized equipment.
- Diagnose faults in fuel injection systems for light-duty, agricultural, industrial, and heavy-duty diesel applications.
- Test and validate rebuilt pumps and injectors on specialized test benches and flow stands.
- Install rebuilt injection components and perform necessary adjustments and break-in procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of all rebuilding work, measurements, parts replaced, and test results.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
- Adhere to strict cleanliness standards and shop procedures throughout all processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience rebuilding diesel injection pumps and injectors.
- Hands-on experience rebuilding injection pumps for Stanadyne, Delphi, Denso, and Bosch systems.
- Strong knowledge of fuel injection systems for Ford PowerStroke, GM Duramax, Ram Cummins, agricultural, industrial, and heavy-duty applications.
- Experience with injection pump and injector test equipment.
- High level of mechanical aptitude and precision with small components.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, specifications, and diagrams.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
