Position Summary
Master Services LLC is growing fast and we’re on the hunt for a highly skilled Drain Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing and clearing drain stoppages, ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our customers' plumbing and sewer systems. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: Accurately diagnose the cause and location of drain and sewer line stoppages in residential and commercial properties.
- Drain Cleaning: Utilize various tools, including electric drain snakes, power augers, and high-pressure Hydro-Jetting equipment, to clear blockages and restore flow.
- Sewer Inspection: Perform sewer camera inspections (CCTV) to confirm the condition of lines and identify structural defects, tree root intrusion, or other issues.
- Customer Communication: Clearly explain the findings, recommended solutions, and pricing to customers. Provide options for repair, maintenance, or replacement services.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly maintain, clean, and secure all company tools, equipment, and assigned service vehicles.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, invoices, and service reports using [Specify any software or method, e.g., tablet-based system].
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and local plumbing codes while completing work.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing drain cleaning and sewer service independently.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in operating power snakes, augers, and hydro-jetting machines.
- Customer Service: Professional, courteous, and clear communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs), climb ladders, and work in tight or confined spaces and various weather conditions.
Preferred (A Plus):
- Experience with advanced sewer technologies (e.g., pipe locating equipment, trenchless repair methods, CIPP lining)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
