About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Civil Construction Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in civil related scopes such as underground utilities, asphalt and concrete.
The Civil Construction Project Manager will provide overall administrative and technical direction on more than one project.
Responsibilities
- Work Independently and exercise discretion in day to day activities
- Issue RFIs to the General Contractors and Owners for review and approval; distribute response to all involved parties
- Process submittals for approval
- Price change orders
- Review and approve Subcontractor invoices
- Provide updates to Owner on overall projects costs as required
- Review schedule and identify lead times on material deliveries, critical path activities or delays that may impact overall schedule; responsible for managing project durations
- Update look-ahead schedules provided
- Perform weekly/monthly schedule updates
- Share and manage project expectations and budgets
- Enhance organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
- Prepare MOT's, permit processing with county municipalities
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Procure material pricing from vendors
- Prepare cost analysis for materials, equipment, overhead and subcontractor cost
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Organizational skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize projects according to specifications
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft excel), time management and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4 years of relevant experience (fieldwork or internships welcome)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling software
- A self-starter attitude with a desire to grow within the industry
- Bi-lingual; English and Spanish Preferred
