Job Description
**MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND EVERYDAY RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION**
Weekend availability is a must, as the greenhouses need to be checked frequently.
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the day without undue strain; lifting and moving plants is a major component of this position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Greenhouse plant watering, fertilizing, trimming, re-potting plants, labeling plants, inspecting plants for disease and insect infestations, unloading plant deliveries, cleaning up work areas and plant debris.
- Must be able to work in all kinds of weather - this position all outside work.
- Weekend work is necessary to keep the plants in good condition, especially in summer months.
- General upkeep, cleanliness and safety of the greenhouse areas.
Qualifications and Skills
Familiarity with plants and basic understanding of plant care is preferred but not required.
Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
