Duties

• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fireplace installation.
• Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, framing, and assembling components using hand tools and power tools.
• Install fireplaces securely within existing structures or new builds, ensuring proper venting, electrical connections, and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with contractors and team members on hardscaping projects, masonry work, and related building material installation.
• Conduct inspections during and after installation to verify quality standards are met; troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical wiring, or structural alignment.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all phases of installation; operate heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or material handling.
• Complete detailed documentation of work performed, including blueprints readouts, installation logs, and compliance reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction or remodeling projects with a focus on fireplace or building material installation.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction plans.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing connections related to fireplaces, drywall finishing, stucco application, masonry or concrete forming is highly desirable.
• Outdoor work experience preferred; ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Relevant certifications such as construction inspection or safety protocol adherence are a plus; valid driver’s license required for site travel.
