What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pants Presser position at Master Cleaners?
Pressing Position:
We Will Train: No experience needed
Hours:
- Monday - Friday, Start time 8:00 a.m. Press until the workload for the day is complete. Usually finishes between noon and 2:00 p.m. (one-hour unpaid lunch on days when work is not finished by noon)
- Total of 18 to 20 -hour week
Pay Information:
- This position starts at $17.00 per hour. After a two-week training period, rate of pay is no less than $17.00 per hour but paid by each piece correctly completed. Each item correctly pressed is paid a certain amount. Our pressers average close to $20.00 per hour.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work quickly and with accuracy.
- Must be to follow pressing techniques.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have good eye to hand coordination.
- Must be a good communicator with other colleagues.
Job Functions:
- This job is much like working on an assembly line. You learn to press a certain type of garment. Those garments are constantly arriving at your workstation. You must maintain production pace in order to complete customers’ orders in a given period of time.
