Pipe Foreman
who will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the fabrication and installation of piping components, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and production standards. This individual will help manage a team of pipe Forman , ensuring efficient and accurate work within the shop. The General Pipe Foreman will also help manage schedules, quality control, and may be involved in material procurement and inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the work of pipe Forman ensuring they are trained and performing their duties effectively.
- Manage schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Manage the productivity of the piping crews to avoid schedule delays.
- Understanding and following the workflow and process.
- Ensures that all fabricated and installed components meet required quality standards, inspecting work for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Enforce safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Identifies and resolves issues or challenges that arise in the fabrication and installation process, ensuring smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient workflow.
- May be involved in training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities for the team.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10 years prior experience in a pipe fitting environment highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills are required to effectively manage a team.
- A thorough understanding of fabrication techniques, piping systems, and welding processes is necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are needed to address challenges that arise.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
The schedule for this role is Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
