Duties
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and collision damage restoration with attention to detail.
- Use hand tools, power tools, MIG welding, soldering, and airless paint spraying techniques to repair sheet metal and damaged vehicle parts.
- Conduct auto painting and auto glass replacement to ensure seamless finishes and safety standards are met.
- Fabricate and modify parts using sheet metal working skills and mechanical knowledge for custom repairs or restorations.
- Assist with auto estimating, vehicle inspection, and assessing repair needs to provide accurate timelines and cost estimates.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting, welding, and use of power tools.
- Collaborate with team members on auto restoration projects and vehicle assembly tasks to deliver high-quality results efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, auto painting, and auto glass installation.
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics, airless paint spraying, sheet metal work, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate repair processes clearly to clients.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in auto restoration or automotive repair projects.
