ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Utilize computerized accounting software programs (such as JONAS, Excel, and Word) to perform daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Ensure that resident payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Research and verify receipts, ensuring proper coding and posting of transactions.
- Investigate and apply unallocated cash to appropriate accounts.
- Monitor homeowners accounts, managing accounts receivable write-offs and payment reversals as needed.
- Maintain direct communication with homeowners and clients via telephone and email to resolve any inquiries, concerns, or issues related to payments.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the accounting department by answering telephones, interacting with homeowners in a professional and courteous manner, and handling incoming mail.
- Maintain an organized and clean office environment, ensuring that the workspace is presentable to the public at all times.
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of property files and records, adhering to the required retention periods.
- Produce monthly member statements and reports, providing updates on account status.
- Assist in managing general office duties, including sorting and distributing mail, handling resident inquiries, and maintaining necessary office supplies
- Identify and communicate any issues to management for resolution, exercising common sense, good judgment, and consistency in interactions with residents and team members.
- Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures.
- Take direction and complete tasks within set deadlines while juggling multiple priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or certification in accounting (or a combination of relevant experience and education), preferred.
- Knowledge of Excel, and Word required; familiarity with JONAS software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and staff.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a presentable appearance for interaction with residents and clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
