Sr Accountant

Responsibilities

At MasTec Communications Group, a Sr Accountant is responsible for accurately maintaining proper accounts to ensure financial records and procedures are up to date.

In addition, you will:

• Preparation of journal entries
• Manage, capitalize, transfer, and deplete Fixed Assets as needed
• Perform period-end General Ledger account reconciliation, including research and correction of any discrepancies
• Analyze leases for proper accounting, including adding them to the lease module with proper terms and managing them as needed
• Ability to perform Ad hoc reporting
• Promptly and effectively communicate with both internal and external customers and auditors
• Other job duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3 years of experience in Accounting
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial information
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Oracle, and web-based tools
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must have the ability and be willing to travel, as required, for job-related functions
• Works primarily in an office environment
  
  

Compensation of $70,000-$80,000 annually, depending on the experience.
