We are looking for an experienced professional who can deliver business value by analyzing the life insurance industry and delivering insights to cross-functional senior leaders and key distribution stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Develop cross-functional partnerships and actively manage stakeholder expectations: Deliver the right intelligence, at the right time to the right stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Distribution and Operations; you will align to our intelligence roadmap created in partnership with these stakeholders
- Industry Expertise: Continuously scan market activity for new entrants, reinsurance deals, product & filing activity, operational trends and disruptors – assess & communicate impacts with a sense of urgency
- Product Expertise: Advise Product on innovative designs and identify differentiators across the MassMutual life insurance suite
- Product Launch & Training Support: Support product deployment by building competitive benchmarking and sales training content; present this content to Distribution and other intermediaries
- Sales enablement: Partner with Distribution & Marketing to create playbooks, battlecards, and other tools to support sales goals
- Field insights: gather feedback from Distribution to identify any challenges and/or opportunities
- Serve as a key contact for pre-sales inquiries: includes providing heatmaps and contract/rider differentiators
- Leverage intranets to share insights and develop a process /metrics to continually improve the value of intelligence
- Become an active contributor to all team publications including Weekly & Quarterly reporting
- 5 years of experience in retail life insurance products
- 5 years of working experience in a Marketing, Distribution, or Research position
- 3 years of experience presenting to and collaborating with leadership at various levels
- 3 years experience Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Co-Pilot)
- 3 years experience with insurance illustration systems (e.g. winflex, iPipeline, Hexsure)
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and ability to work independently to drive, refine and grow our intelligence function (an “Intrapreneurial” mindset)
- Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
- Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills and able to find information that is not readily available from a single source
- Proactively anticipates & meets stakeholder needs
- Able to leverage their strong network of internal and external experts to build market insights
- Willingness to travel to company meetings and industry events (20%)
- Regular meetings with the Life Product & Innovation team
- Focused one-on-one meetings with your manager
