Why You’ll Love This Role Are you a detail-oriented person who excels at both financial analysis and client service? We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Associate Financial Planner who thrives in both technical execution and client collaboration to join our firm and play a critical role in our financial planning process.

In this position, you won’t just be behind a computer screen; you will be an integral part of the client experience. From building financial models and implementing changes to investment portfolios to participating in live client meetings, your work will directly ensure that our clients receive the clarity and follow-through they deserve. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about the mechanics of financial planning and wants to be part of a collaborative, high-standard professional environment – but who also wants to be part of team and without the pressure of building their own book of clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Financial Plan Development: Construct and maintain comprehensive financial plans, ensuring all data is accurate and reflects the client's current goals and objectives.
  • Portfolio Management: Assist in the construction, monitoring, and rebalancing of investment portfolios.
  • Meeting Participation & Support: Attend certain client meetings to provide technical support, capture detailed notes, and document key decisions.
  • Action Item Oversight: Take full ownership of post-meeting follow-up, ensuring all administrative and technical action items are executed promptly and communicated to the client.
  • Technical Research: Perform research on specific planning strategies, tax implications, and investment options to support the Lead Planner.
  • CRM Management: Maintain meticulous client records, ensuring the CRM is updated for all planning and portfolio activity.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Prior experience in a Financial Planning or as an Associate Planner role is ideal, but not required.
  • Licensing: Must either hold active securities licenses (Series 7 & 65/66) or be willing to accomplish all licensing within 6 months of hire.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree required. Progress toward or achievement of the CFP® designation is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Excel and other technology tools. Prior financial planning software experience (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro) and portfolio management tools is not required.
  • Detail Orientation: Exceptional organizational skills with a "zero-error" mindset regarding data entry and meeting documentation.
  • Communication: Ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear, actionable notes and client correspondence.

Why You’ll Thrive Here

  • Impact: Your work is the foundation upon which our client advice is built.
  • Professional Growth: Gain deep exposure to high-level planning cases and investment strategy while working alongside experienced firm leadership.
  • Culture of Excellence: Join a team that values transparency, fiduciary responsibility, and a proactive approach to client service.
