We're looking for a Director of Advisor Development, to lead the training, coaching, and accountability experience that accelerates advisor productivity and builds lasting careers.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Growth & Development, you'll own the advisor journey from day one to onboarding, academy training, ongoing coaching, and mentoring, creating a world-class development experience that sets MassMutual Great Lakes advisors apart.

What You'll Impact

Lead Onboarding & Impact Academy

• Own onboarding and orientation for all new representatives, ensuring every advisor starts with clarity, purpose, and a plan
• Help advisors discover their “why,” define their markets, and master the conversation frameworks used by top performers
• Partner with Managing Directors, the SVP, and Department Heads to deliver a world-class Impact Academy, coordinating expert instructors, assessing readiness, closing development gaps, and verifying graduation requirements

Drive Ongoing Development

• Own the annual development calendar and build individualized advisor development plans
• Facilitate training modules, workshops, and office-specific learning experiences
• Track licensing, continuing education, and Momentum to Success Bonus completion
• Plan and execute annual bootcamps, from logistics and speaker recruitment to engaging session design

Coach for Performance & Accountability

• Lead weekly one-on-one and group coaching meetings with emerging advisors
• Establish performance expectations, monitor activity and production, and celebrate daily wins
• Lead the Advisor Development Review accountability process using 12-Week Year best practices
• Coordinate Client Builder events, joint work opportunities, and case consultations
• Report development progress to leadership and help build future activity coaches

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
• 3–6 years in financial services sales; advisor experience, particularly successfully coaching advisors, is strongly preferred
• Exceptional coaching, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Strong leadership, communication, and accountability instincts
• Highly organized with excellent time management; analytical, detail-oriented, and discreet with confidential information
• A genuine commitment to professional development and licensing
• Active Life & Health Licenses

• Training attendance and advisor satisfaction w. value of training received
• Execution of advisors' first 90-day launch plans and monthly activity best practices
• Coaching emerging advisors to 6- and 12-month Rising Leaders achievement
• Coaching advisors to conference recognition

• Income Potential up to $175,000. Includes base salary with variable compensation potential. Starting base salary and bonus opportunity will be determined by the incoming candidate’s proven success and credentials. The intent is to provide room to grow in the role.
