Responsibilities:
- Understand student learning and development and respect the diversity of the students
- Know and understand the content area
- Understand and use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate, and ensure student learning
- Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student
- Create learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students
- Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators and the community to support student learning
- Assume responsibility for professional growth , performance and involvement as an individual and as a member of a learning community
- Ensure the safety of students
- Effectively manage the classroom
- Effectively manage and operate district technology
- Perform other duties as assigned by Administration
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in education with appropriate subject area from an accredited college/university
- Complete a state-approved teacher preparation program
- Hold a valid and appropriate State of Ohio certification/license for the job posting
- Undergo or have a current state and federal criminal background check.

- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue
- Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, climb, and stoop
- Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull various items up to a maximum of 25 pounds
- Occasional evening work
- Frequent repetitive hand motion, e.g., computer keyboard, calculator, writing
