Staff or Senior Radiation Therapist (MGH @ Newton Wellesley Hospital)

Job Summary SIGN ON BONUS available! (current employees of MGB not eligible) Assists in the daily operation of radiation therapy services. Interacts with the physician and all members of the office staff to ensure patients are treated in a timely manner. Communicates effectively and supports leadership in attaining department goals. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Takes radiographs, appropriate measurements, tattoos the patient, records all treatment parameters in chart, completed digital setup pages and completes MOSAIQ fields as needed. -Insert patient IV’s for Contrast delivery according to prescribed protocols. -Discusses treatment procedure and possible reactions with patient and assures his/her understanding. -Follows established department policy for acquiring digital portal images, or performs other localization techniques to verify accurate patient treatment position. -Performs daily quality assurance checks on treatment delivery systems per protocol. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree Radiation Therapy required or Bachelor's Degree Radiation Therapy preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
