What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician/Assistant/Receptionist position at Massard Creek Animal Hospital?
Immediate position available for a long term, full time or part time, Veterinary Technician/Assistant and Veterinary receptionist (experience preferred) for our small animal exclusive practices in Fort Smith and Sallisaw, Ok.
Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians with appointments, drop off services and surgery to maximize productivity and maintain a timely patient flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures as outlined by hospital SOP and state guidelines. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance with discharge instructions, food and medications.
- Maintain health information and history through computerized database (Avimark).
- Demonstrate and implement safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
