Virginia BBQ & Pizza Co. is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant at our vibrant Massanutten Resort. If you are passionate about hospitality, thrive on developing teams, and know how to provide both exceptional food and remarkable guest experiences—we want to meet you!
What You Will Do
As the General Manager, you will take full ownership of restaurant operations and performance, including:
- Leading daily operations across dine-in, counter service, and takeout
- Driving guest satisfaction through quality, speed, and service excellence
- Hiring, training, coaching, and developing a team of 20 associates
- Managing labor, scheduling, inventory, and cost controls
- Monitoring financial performance (revenue, labor, and food cost)
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and Virginia ABC laws
- Resolving guest concerns and fostering a culture of hospitality
- Collaborating with resort leadership to enhance the overall guest experience
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of restaurant management experience
- Proven leadership in a high-volume or quick-service environment
- Strong operational, financial, and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Resort, hospitality, or tourism experience
- Experience with BBQ, fast-casual, or casual dining concepts
- Virginia ABC Manager Certification (or ability to obtain)
- ServSafe Manager Certification
Schedule
Full-Time (minimum of 40 hours/week)
