Field Security Officer (Part-Time)

From checking our buildings, keeping guests safe and helping folks out on the fly, the security office never has a shortage of action. We’re looking for positive minded people to help keep our guests and employees safe in the day to day operations of our resort!
Job Summary
Field Security Officer is a position held within the Resort Security & Special Services Department. Successful candidates will perform timely incident response and special services. The ideal candidate will provide asset protection for the organization. Candidates will perform duties through preparedness, prevention, response, investigations and inspections. Candidates will always provide exceptional customer service.
Required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and approved driving record
- Clean criminal and education history
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, listening, written, electronic
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- First Aid/CPR/AED
- Must be 21
Preferred
- Relevant security, investigative and safety skills
- Relevant NFPA knowledge Fire and Life Safety
- Current Virginia (DCJS) Unarmed Guard Certification
- Security, law enforcement, and/or emergency services experience/certifications
Typical Schedule
Days:
Friday and Saturday (two days)
* Must be flexible to adjust schedule to accommodate priority shifts during staff time off, holidays, weekends and special events
Hours:
6:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Core Responsibilities
- Provide for a safe, secure environment by enforcing policies and procedures that protect people, property and assets
- Maintain a high awareness of the surrounding, report and react to abnormalities found during physical tour and inspections of the interior and exterior of any company property
- Liaison between Security Operations and resort departments to ensure effective communication
- Respond to calls of service, incidents and accidents
- Conduct general reporting, investigations and evidence preservation
- Perform property safety and security equipment inspections
- Interface with outside agencies (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS) and vendors
- Other duties as assigned by management
