Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide professional, therapeutic massages to clients, helping them relax and alleviate muscle tension and pain. Duties:
- Perform various types of massages including Swedish, Deep Tissue, and specialty massages acquired through continued education
- Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans and care
- Utilize your knowledge of muscle anatomy and physiology as well as in pain management techniques to address specific areas of concern
- Provide recommendations for at-home care and exercises to help clients maintain their well-being between sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Stay informed about current trends and developments in the field of massage therapy
- Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment
Requirements:
- Valid Massage Therapist license/certification in the state
- Proficiency in various massage techniques including Swedish and Deep Tissue massages
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and some medical terminology
- Ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Some Customer Service experience
- Ability to adapt treatments based on individual client needs
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety guidelines
