MASSAGE THERAPIST for SPECIAL NEEDS

SPECIAL NEEDS/DISABILITIES LICENSED, MASSAGE THERAPIST, Sub-contractor

This is a subcontract position for in-home massage therapy for disabilities and special needs persons in Arlington, Burleson, Fort Worth and Mansfield, Texas areas. Generally, clients receive ongoing massage for 1 hour, 2 times per week.

Clients are prescribed massage and therefore it is a regular, recurring work-load paid for through the Medicaid Waiver program. State prerequisites require quarterly paperwork for clients to continue receiving services and therefore computer access, usage and literacy is a MUST. Since this is contract work, you will be assisted with anything to be completed but you must do the work necessary. You will set your own schedule with clients/caregivers and keep appointments. This is a very real opportunity and the commitment is long-term. Requirements needed to begin include:

· Current State Massage License

· Current Liability/Malpractice Insurance

· Current American Heart Association (or equivalent) CPR certification (easily obtained if none)

· Positive and caring attitude with a heart for special needs persons

· Reliable transportation and up-to-date driver's license

· Good communication skills

On a side note, I have been working with special needs clients for about 15 hours years and absolutely LOVE what I get to do. This work is highly rewarding as a therapist, truly helping others who are in need. I've had the pleasure of working with Autism, Down Syndrome, Lou Gehrig's/ALS, Cerebral Palsy, Angelman's Syndrome, brain injuries and other special needs.

We currently have clients needing a licensed massage therapist able to serve in the Fort Worth, Texas areas ASAP. The hours are somewhat flexible however, client needs come first.
