Construction Project Manager

Massage Envy
Massage Envy Salary
Scottsdale, AZ Full Time
POSTED ON 10/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/7/2026

If you have spent your career running one job site at a time, this is the version of the work that scales. You will support design and construction across a national network of more than 1,000 independently owned and operated Massage Envy locations: new builds, relocations, remodels, refreshes, and brand program rollouts. You will do it on a hybrid schedule out of our Franchise Support Center in Scottsdale, two to three days a week in the office and the rest from your home office, with travel capped at 10%. No weekend site coverage.

This is a brand-side support seat, not a contractor seat. You bring the brand standards, the prototype drawings, the specifications, and the vendor program. The franchisee hires the architect and the general contractor and runs the build. Your job is to make sure they have everything they need to open a great location on time, and to catch the problems early enough that they stay small.

What you will do:

• Guide franchisees through the full arc of their projects, from early planning through brand standards review and closeout

• Track a portfolio of concurrent projects nationwide, run recurring update calls with franchisees and the project teams they engage, and flag schedule risks before they become opening-date problems

• Review drawing sets and project documents for alignment with brand standards and prototype requirements, and send clear written comments back to the franchisee

• Review proposed sites, landlord work letters, and lease exhibits when a franchisee asks, and surface prototype fit and layout considerations early enough to matter

• Serve as the go-to resource for franchisees and the design and construction teams they engage, answering specification, product, and brand standards questions

• Build and maintain the resources franchisees rely on: prototype drawings, spec books, fixture and finish schedules, equipment lists, and build-out guides, plus the requirements and timelines for brand refresh and remodel programs

• Source and manage brand-approved vendors, and keep program pricing and service information current

• Evaluate how fixtures and finishes actually perform in the field and recommend improvements to the standards

• Support punch list, closeout, and post-opening warranty follow-up

• Run orientation and education for franchisees entering development: onboarding calls, resource walkthroughs, and conference or webinar content

• Keep project and vendor records current and report on the development pipeline and project status to department leaders

What you bring:

Required

• Five or more years managing interior construction projects, ideally in retail, restaurant, fitness, healthcare services, or another multi-site environment

• Ability to read and interpret full sets of interior construction documents (fixture plans, floor covering plans, RCPs, elevations and details) and comment on them with authority

• Working familiarity with IBC, ADA, NFPA, and local code requirements as they affect prototype design

• A track record of juggling many concurrent projects without losing track of any of them

• Strong written communication. Much of this role is making a technical point clearly to someone who is not technical.

• Degree in construction, facilities, business, communications, or an equivalent combination of coursework and experience

Plus, but not required

• Experience on the owner’s side: tenant coordination, corporate construction, franchising, or multi-site program management

• Purchasing and vendor program experience

• Smartsheet, Wrike, or similar project management software

• FranConnect (we will teach you this)

Why this role

• A national portfolio. You see patterns across hundreds of projects instead of going deep on one.

• 10% travel and a hybrid schedule. Two to three days in the Scottsdale office, the rest from home. For most people coming from the field, this is the headline.

• Real influence. You shape the standards every new location is built to, not just the one in front of you.

• A stable team. You report to the Program Director in National Operations and partner daily with Franchise Development, Operations, and Legal.
