Summary:
The MWRA Finance Division has a paid Finance Intern position and is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of administrative tasks, and assist Finance staff in the creation of electronic database for archived documents. In addition, this position will support the Finance Division in a myriad of office related functions including, but not limited to, reception coverage, mail room support, copying, scanning, database creation, etc.
Posting Period: 1/21/2026 to 2/3/2026
Location: Deer Island (Winthrop), MA
Salary: $19 - $22 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation of an electronic database for various Finance archived documents.
- Assists in the dissemination and implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
- Supports all routine administrative functions including organizing records and creating electronic records of correspondence, filing, copying, reception, etc.
- Development of spreadsheets to support special analysis.
- Assist with processing of weekly payroll.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with scanning software/applications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software especially Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and accomplish task with minimal supervision.
- Pursuit of a college degree.
- Internship duration May - August.
