Position Overview:
We are seeking a Surgical Scrub Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented, with strong knowledge of sterile technique and operating room protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field before and during surgical procedures.
- Accurately anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies.
- Ensure proper sterilization, handling, and care of surgical instruments.
- Keep accurate records/logs as needed
- Assist with operating room setup and turnover between cases which includes cleaning floors, wiping surfaces, and removing trash.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to deliver excellent patient care.
- May include unboxing and putting away supplies as they are delivered
- May include administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Dependable and punctual
- Previous operating room experience helpful, but not required
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Per diem to start with possible option for full time after 1-3 months
Pay: $46.00 - $53.00 per hour
