The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship is an AmeriCorps program at Northeastern University's Office of Community Service & Civic Engagement. We believe that all young people have a right to the conditions and resources they need to be successful in life including: Caring Adults, Safe Spaces, Healthy Start, Effective Education, and Opportunities to Serve.
Each year, we recruit, train, and place AmeriCorps members (Fellows) at non-profit organizations, city agencies, and schools across Massachusetts to lead out-of-school time programming for youth in grades 6-12 focused on mentoring, academic enrichment, and college and career exploration. Throughout their service year, Fellows will receive training and professional development from MPF and complete 1700 hours of service.

MassCOSH seeks an AmeriCorps Massachusetts Promise Fellow to support Teens Lead @ Work (TL@W), our youth leadership, workplace health and safety, and worker rights program. The Fellow will work closely with middle and high school youth in grades 6-12 in after-school, community-based, and special event settings, helping to create positive environments where all young people feel safe, seen, and supported. As a caring adult, the Fellow will help youth build confidence, leadership, labor rights awareness, social-emotional skills, and college and career readiness while supporting program logistics, youth retention, outreach, and data collection. The Fellow will contribute to a youth development model grounded in education for community health;, climate resiliency; labor laws and rights; and organizing and mobilizing

Minimum Qualifications:
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be 17 year old by July 1, 2026
- Be willing to comply with a criminal background check and fingerprint check
- Be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or Permanent Resident (this is an AmeriCorps requirement)
- Able to serve full-time (40 hours per week) from August 31, 2026 – July 15, 2027
Essential Functions
- Youth Programming: lead and support inclusive and equitable youth programming for youth from diverse backgrounds; build positive, safe environments and relationships with youth
- Data & Evaluation: collect data on youth activities and interaction, receive and provide feedback, engage in personal reflection, complete MPF data and evaluation requirements
- Time & Project Management: ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and meet deadlines
- Communication & Collaboration: ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a professional setting
- Travel at least once per month for Fellowship meetings, retreats, and training throughout the Commonwealth
