Job Title: Admissions Coordinator
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our admissions team as an Admissions Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that promotes and supports the recruitment of students from diverse backgrounds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate an annual recruitment calendar, targeting high schools in assigned geographic areas using supporting data.
- Evaluate student applications from assigned territories, making recommendations based on institutional policy and analysis of applicant potential.
- Make final decisions on applications, considering factors such as academic preparedness and fit with the Academy's mission.
- Work closely with other staff members to support recruitment efforts, including out-of-state students.
- Create and manage programs to promote the Academy to prospective students, assessing and revising programming based on success metrics.
- Distribute marketing materials to support recruitment efforts.
- Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, feeder schools, and professional organizations to support student recruitment.
- Collaborate with the CAPT Paul Cuffee Global Institute to create and execute retention efforts for students.
- Assist with pre-acceptance activities, including orientation and academic preparation.
- Participate in mentoring and student support programs, such as the S.A.L.T. Program.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; 1-3 years of experience in admissions or a related field.
- Able to travel within the United States and possibly abroad, possess a valid driver's license, and work evenings and weekends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking ability.
- Able to maintain professional relationships with multiple constituencies, including prospective students and families.
- Demonstrated commitment to building a strong and academically prepared applicant pool.
- Maintain a standard of admissions ethics.
- Able to work at a fast pace in a multi-faceted environment, with general knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management systems.

- Linguistic Fluency or proficiency in an additional language(s), both oral and written.
- Previous experience reading international applications preferred.
- Basic knowledge of the US immigration system and SEVIS preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
$60,000 - $62,000 per year, plus generous benefits policies and a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
