This full-time position is based on-site at the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Area. The Resource Sharing Librarian will be responsible for supporting and enhancing interlibrary loan and resource sharing among member libraries. Their work will include providing training, consulting on resource sharing services, managing operational processes, maintaining metadata accuracy, and collaborating with other libraries to streamline library services and ensure an excellent user experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Library Services and Library Management
- Proficiency in Library Science and Metadata best practices
- Skills in providing Library Instruction to member libraries and patrons
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Familiarity with interlibrary loan processes, systems, and tools such as OCLC or related platforms
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLS or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited program
- Experience in resource sharing and working with diverse library environments is beneficial
