DIRECTOR, CAMPAIGN AND ENGAGEMENT AND EVENTS, Sloan Office of External Relations , to lead and manage team: sets team and program metrics, develops new initiatives, manages overall strategy/vision of alumni engagement, manages budget deployment; develop internal and external messaging around the MIT Sloan network, volunteer activities, and engagement opportunities for alumni; strategize with the MIT Sloan Career Development Office, Global Programs, MIT Sloan Executive Education, Action Learning, Admissions, Student Life, and the MIT Sloan Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; develop comprehensive volunteer strategy that fully capitalizes on alumni as informed ambassadors and advocates for the top priorities of the school; provide oversight and strategic direction for the MIT Sloan Alumni Board; partner with the Engagement Events and Annual Giving teams on programming/strategy to align volunteer strategy and increase immediate use, flexible funding to the school; create and execute on cohesive regional volunteer strategy; as a visible leader on campus, oversee student/alumni engagement, including relationships with student clubs, conferences, treks, and the Student Senate; and oversee/develop MIT Sloan alumni virtual programming and shared interest communities.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : Bachelor's degree; a minimum of five years of experience in alumni relations, preferably in an academic setting, or equivalent experience; experience working closely with volunteers; creative and strategic thinker, collaborator, and problem solver; ability to recognize and resolve complex situations; top level project management expertise with a proven track record; outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills; experience supervising staff at varying levels of experience; and ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment. PREFERRED : Experience with alumni/student outreach and knowledge of schools of management.
Travel, night, and weekend work required.
