Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques.
- Administer prescribed medications within scope and document care, medication outcomes, and resident responses.
- Monitor and record vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and communicate health changes to the charge nurse.
- Support residents' psychosocial needs and encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities.
- Assist with food preparation, dining, housekeeping, and laundry to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Participate in departmental committees and organizational tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 18 preferred.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Maintain required certifications, complete competency testing, and ongoing continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually).
- Must obtain and maintain state-specific CNA and medication aide certifications.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and compassionate care skills.
