Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Role Overview: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct rehabilitation care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and follow individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Assist patients in achieving functional progress and improving quality of life.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and utilize therapy software effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing and medical staff.
• Ensure patient safety, adhere to confidentiality, and follow all regulatory and company policies.
• Participate in community health projects and assist with patient evacuation when needed.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT).
• Currently licensed or registered in the applicable state; active license required.
• CPR certification (obtain during orientation if not already certified).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
• Strong communication, body mechanics, and independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain professionalism.
