What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Service Coordinator III position at Massachusetts General Hospital?
Qualifications
Associate degree in Secretarial Science or Business, or completion of a Secretarial Training Certificate Program, preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a medical group practice, billing, and/or managed care setting required.
Demonstrated ability to interface with various levels within the practice, with strong knowledge of issues related to managed care.
Thorough knowledge of the EPIC system, including electronic medical record (EMR) modules and related features.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision; strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain organized, detail-oriented, and outcome-focused within a team environment.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management.
Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality and privacy policies.
Understanding of disaster protocols, including fire, safety, and code procedures, as required through mandatory training in accordance with MGH and JCAHO guidelines.
