Mass Tank – Middleboro, MAMass Tank is seeking an experienced ASME Pressure Vessel Welder / Fabricator to join our steel fabrication team in Middleboro, MA. This role is ideal for a highly skilled welder with direct experience fabricating and welding ASME-coded pressure vessels in a shop environment.The successful candidate will play a critical role in producing high-quality, code-compliant vessels used in industrial and regulated applications. This position requires a strong understanding of ASME Section VIII requirements, welding procedures, and quality expectations typical of certified pressure vessel fabrication shops.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate and weld ASME pressure vessels in accordance with approved drawings, WPSs, and job travelersPerform welding processes including (but not limited to) GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW on carbon steel and stainless steelRead and interpret ASME fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and specificationsFollow qualified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and maintain compliance with ASME Section IX requirementsFit-up shells, heads, nozzles, and attachments to ASME tolerancesWork closely with Quality Control to support inspections, NDE, and code documentationMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with shop safety standardsParticipate in continuous improvement of fabrication and welding processesRequired QualificationsDirect experience fabricating and welding ASME pressure vessels (required)Proven experience working in an ASME-certified fabrication shopAbility to pass or maintain ASME welding qualifications Strong understanding of:ASME Section VIII (Div. 1 preferred)Welding symbols and fabrication drawingsFit-up and dimensional tolerances for pressure vesselsHigh attention to detail and quality-focused mindsetStrong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a fabrication teamCommitment to safety and compliance in a regulated manufacturing environmentCompany DescriptionMass Tank is one of New England's premier tank companies.
