As an Ultrasound Tech at Mass General Brigham Medical Group, you will have a significant impact on our innovative and advanced ultrasound programs. You'll engage with highly skilled professionals in a collaborative atmosphere, offering direction to medical sonography students and acting as a crucial resource for our ultrasound staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Offer clinical training to diagnostic medical sonography students, teaching and supporting them during ultrasound procedures.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, which may include transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning patients.
- Clarify procedures to patients, addressing both their physical and emotional needs.
- Independently carry out advanced Ultrasound Technologist procedural activities, including echocardiograms, vascular exams, and Doppler studies.
- Record digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation.
- Assist physicians with needle biopsies, renal biopsies, and other procedures.
Qualifications
- Education Requirements - Satisfactory completion of formal Ultrasound Training program.
- Licensure Required: Registration or registration eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)(RDMS) and must be certified within 12 months of hire.
- CPR/BLS Certified
