Essential Functions
- Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls from hospital staff, patients, and other healthcare providers.
- Acts as a liaison between the department and facilities to obtain needed information and documentation.
- Assess the nature of the call and determine the appropriate level of response, including the deployment of paramedics, ambulances, and other necessary resources.
- Relay information accurately, including patient details, location, and the nature of the emergency.
- Input and update mobile healthcare call data.
- Monitor and document response times of units, investigating and reporting all response time exceptions.
- Record all dispatch information, including call details, response times, and actions taken, in the dispatch log.
- Prepare reports on dispatch operations, incidents, and resource utilization for review by hospital administration.
