Job Summary

The Stanton Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group.

Our research group is developing technologies that can enable drug and gene delivery to the brain. The BBB has prevented multiple drugs—and especially gene therapies— from reaching the brain. A significant number of neurological diseases and psychiatric disorders have genetic causes, which could be corrected using modern gene editing technologies. However, these therapies can only be effective once they are delivered to the impacted cells in the brain, which has continued to prove to be a challenge. The candidate who will join this project will join a team working on a delivery system that can deliver genetic therapies to the brain, which could allow the treatment of many currently untreatable diseases of the brain.
