Essential Functions
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Nutrition and Food Services department, including meal preparation, meal assembly, and meal delivery to patients and cafeteria customers.
- Ensure the timely and accurate production of meals, adhering to established recipes and portion control standards.
- Maintain adherence to food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in food preparation and service areas.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
- Recruit, train, and supervise food service staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about food safety protocols, patient diet orders, and customer service.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Assist in developing and managing the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising food quality and safety.
- Ensure staff are trained in safe food handling practices and provided with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety resources.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to oversee food service operations efficiently.
- Budgeting and financial management skills to support departmental operations within allocated resources.
