Summary
Supervises all maintenance staff. Helps direct repairs, installation and testing of electrical equipment, appliances, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment, and telephone wiring.

Essential Functions
- Supervises all maintenance workers
- Assigns work orders and PM’s
- Assists with the interviewing and selection process
- Trains and in-services general maintenance employees
- Participates in the disciplinary procedure according to hospital policy
- Works with all trades within the Facility Department
- Have a basic knowledge of all trades so that he/she can work to assist and troubleshoot all components of the hospital utility systems
- Examines and tests such elements of systems as distribution panel, controls, circuit fixtures and motors locate obvious faults, such as blown fuses, short circuits, broken wires, loose connections, and worn motor brushes
