Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Clinic/Practice Assistant to support the practice onsite, Monday through Friday. We are open to this employee working 8:30am-5:00pm or 9:00am-5:30pm. The Practice Assistant serves as the face of our medical group and plays a key role in managing the patient experience on the reception/administrative support side. We are looking for well-rounded customer service professionals who can multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a high-volume outpatient setting!
We currently have a team of 8 Clinic/Practice Assistants and are looking for the last person to complete are collaborative team. Our philosophy is that if a new hire has strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for patient care, everything else can be taught so we are happy to teach and train!

What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients and support check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments, maintain appointment records, and assist callers with routine inquiries.
- Answer a high volume of phone calls with professionalism and excellent customer service.
- Collect copayments as needed and process patient billing forms.
- Scan documents into the patient medical record and support accurate documentation workflows.
- Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
- Serve as a scheduling, registration, and billing system resource and provide guidance or training to others as needed.
- Support daily practice operations in partnership with the supervisor and practice team.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six (6) months reception or customer service experience required, preferably in a health care setting
- Familiarity with insurance payers
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual Spanish/English
