We are thrilled to announce that our Endocrinology practice has grown! We have multiple new providers who have joined our team to expand our service line and reach more patients across Cooley Dickinson Medical Group. Our specialty office provides services for patients with a wide variety of endocrine and metabolic disorders, including:
- Adrenal diseases
- Diabetes – would like diabetes as the first diagnosis
- Endocrine disorders
- Thyroid diseases including thyroid cancer
- Pituitary disease
- Hypogonadism
The practice is currently housed in Cooley Dickinson's multispecialty medical facility located at 22 Atwood Drive in Northampton, MA. Are you ready to bring your talent to this practice and join us in moving health care forward?
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Dietitian to support our practice onsite Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. The Dietitian will work with our adult patients with Type 1, Type 2, gestational diabetes and pre-existing diabetes in pregnancy.
This is a unique role to work autonomously while in conjunction with the medical director, endocrinologist, diabetologist, and administration, to provide diabetes education as well as overseeing and maintaining our program certification requirements with the ADA.
Job Summary
Responsible to provide advanced clinical and administrative responsibilities within clinical nutrition in addition to managing the comprehensive medical nutritional care of patients which includes providing nutrition assessment, development of nutrition care plans, diet modification, nutrition education, and all activities involved in the nutritional needs of the patient population.
Essential Functions
Provides advanced clinical dietitian responsibilities which may include specialty or advanced patient population, participation in clinical care forums to serve as resource on nutrition related concerns, mentors new staff, and evaluation of new products
Assist leadership team in program planning and proposals to improve processes or improve efficiency; plans, conducts, supervises, and evaluates the education experiences of dietetic interns and students
Based on multiple criterion including assessment of nutritional needs, physician's orders, clinical data, interdisciplinary health care plans, and standards of quality nutritional care that appropriately meet age, psychosocial and physical needs of patients, the Dietitian develops and implements nutrition plan of care for patients
Documentation of all nutrition related information including assessment, nutrition therapy recommendations and care plan, follow up data and changes, diet consultation results, discharge planning, daily clinical activities, and other related orders and pertinent information
Counsel, educate, and develop resources and materials for the education of patients on families on prescribed therapeutic diets
Partner with food service staff to ensure meals, supplements, and nutrition support is provided; review patients' menu selections to monitor compliance with modified diets

Education
Bachelor's Degree Clinical Dietitian required or
Master's Degree Dietitian preferred
