POSITION SUMMARY: The Database Manager is responsible for data integrity, processes, reporting, and all facets of the Association Management System (AMS), currently ClearVantage. This person will engage with bank and associate members regularly to request updated information and update records within the AMS. They will also foster an environment of collaboration for the MBA staff to ensure consistency of procedures, reporting and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Developing and maintaining the MBA’s AMS. Currently ClearVantage is used for bank, associate and partner member engagement, invoicing and payments, event management, email marketing, website management, committee management and reporting.
• Developing procedures to ensure data integrity and quality, including regularly maintaining and updating data, collaborating with members to obtain updated information, and working with MBA staff to ensure updates are made accurately and frequently.
• Responsible for any database updates, managing platform upgrades and overseeing the relationship with the AMS Vendor.
• Working with MBA staff to develop and run queries and reports, develop database structures and features according to organizational needs, and maintain data integrity by setting and enforcing standards and controls.
• Analyzing member activity to determine utilization of Association products and services.
• Managing the interface between the AMS and electronic marketing platforms (Website, etc.).
• Attending larger MBA member events to assist with on-site registration and interact with members.
• Other duties as assigned in support of the VP, Member Experience and Partnerships as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
• At least 2 years of experience in database management.
• In-depth knowledge of database technologies, architecture, and data security.
• Knowledge of best practices in database management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking and prioritization skills, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) will be favored.
• Working knowledge of the association environment and knowledge of the banking industry are a plus.
