ABOUT THE ROLE
Masquerade NYC is seeking an Associate Company Manager to join our Company Management team and help support one of New York City's most ambitious immersive theatrical productions.
This role is ideal for a thoughtful leader, trusted collaborator, and strong operational partner who is excited by both the people and logistics that make live theatre possible.
The Associate Company Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team and works closely alongside the Company Manager to support the day-to-day operation of a large-scale production. This person will help lead administrative, financial, HR, hospitality, and company care initiatives while serving as a resource for performers, crew members, creative staff, and management alike.
We are looking for someone who combines excellent organizational skills with emotional intelligence, curiosity, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to supporting others. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who can be a trusted thought partner and teammate—someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates proactively, and helps move the entire team forward.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support overall administrative and operational management of the production
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees
- Oversee company records, personnel files, and documentation
- Support weekly payroll preparation and related reporting
- Manage union relations including: benefit reporting // submissions and injury reporting
- Track and manage PTO, sick leave, and employee records for all Union and Non Union company members (actors, FOH, facilities, box office, crew, etc.)
- Coordinate artist travel (uber vouchers, flights, etc.), housing (when applicable), and hospitality needs
- Manage internal ticketing requests
- Manage and coordinate VIP hospitality and Meet & Greets
- Co-supervise and mentor the Company Management Assistant
- Help foster a professional, welcoming, and respectful workplace culture
- Create, refine, and maintain systems that improve efficiency and communication
- Coordinate company events, press functions, special events, and hospitality initiatives
- Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth execution of production activities

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience as an Assistant Company Manager, Associate Company Manager, Company Manager, General Management Assistant or similar role
- Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
- Knowledge of theatrical labor unions, contracts, and payroll practices preferred
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and performance schedules as required
COMPENSATION, SCHEDULE & EMPLOYMENT TERMS
- Full-time position
- ATPAM eligible
- $1,250–$1,350/week
- State-mandated sick leave and applicable benefits
This position includes an initial three-month introductory period intended to support onboarding, training, and mutual evaluation of long-term fit within the role and team.
Due to the collaborative nature of this position, we ask employees to provide at least two weeks' notice prior to resignation whenever possible to help ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
