Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order picking, shipping and receiving tasks and maintain an organized warehouse. This position requires a strong work ethic and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
Duties
- Loading and unloading trucks of building materials including the checking-in of material.
- Fulfilling customer orders from stock based on pick tickets.
- Load building materials onto pallets and shelves for either delivery or for receipt into the warehouse
- Assist in counting of physical inventory
- Operate forklifts, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Maintain warehouse organization by storing items correctly, conducting regular inventory counts, and supporting warehouse distribution activities.
- You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned
- Frequent standing, walking, crouching
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring loads, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly desirable.
- Proven experience operating Hi-Lo forklifts and pallet jacks within a warehouse setting.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; experience with order picking and shipping & receiving processes is a plus.
- Frequent lifting and moving of material up to 70 pounds
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
