Dining Services Supervisor – Senior Living

Location: Masonic Homes Kentucky – Louisville, KY
Schedule: 11 AM – 7:30 PM | Rotating Weekends

As a Dining Services Supervisor, you’ll guide daily kitchen and dining operations to ensure residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals served with warmth and hospitality. This hybrid role blends hands-on support in the kitchen with supervisory responsibilities, making it a great fit for someone with strong culinary knowledge and experience leading dietary teams in senior living.
You’ll oversee meal service, support cooks and dietary aides, maintain quality standards and help ensure our dining experience runs smoothly, even when other leadership is not onsite.

What you’ll do:

support and oversee daily kitchen operations and meal production
- serve as the on-shift point of contact for staffing, workflow needs and team communication
- lead and mentor dietary staff during meal preparation and service
- participate in and supervise the tray line process to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with dietary needs
- perform routine quality checks for portion sizes, temperatures, accuracy and presentation
- uphold resident preferences, dietary plans and hospitality expectations
- train team members on safe food handling, sanitation and service standards
- confirm all food items are labeled, dated and discarded according to policy
- conduct shift-based quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with health regulations
- inspect kitchen, storage and dining areas for cleanliness, organization and readiness
- communicate operational updates and improvement opportunities to the Dietary Director
- support closing procedures to ensure equipment is secured and areas are prepared for the next shift
- foster a positive, team-focused and resident-centered environment
What you’ll bring:

2 years of experience in food service leadership or senior living dining roles
- strong communication, organization and mentoring skills
- ability to perform quality assurance checks and maintain high standards of service and safety
- critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- ability to lift/move 25 lbs frequently and up to 60 lbs occasionally
- must be able to work a rotating weekend schedule
- high school diploma or GED required; continuing education in hospitality, nutrition or management preferred
