You will be required to upload a clear photo of your SST card along with your resume to be considered.About the PositionWe’re seeking an experienced Audio Visual Installation Technician to join our team for on-site integration work throughout NYC, New Jersey, Long Island, and Westchester. The ideal candidate has a strong background in AV installation, wiring, and system setup, with the ability to deliver clean, reliable, and professional work in commercial environments. We’re especially interested in technicians who are experienced in AV commissioning or who are eager to learn and grow into commissioning responsibilities. Candidates should be located within NYC, NJ, Long Island, or Westchester and comfortable traveling throughout these regions.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Audio-Visual installation, including tasks such as:Mounting and installing displays, projectors, speakers, cameras, microphones, and control hardwarePulling, dressing, labeling, and terminating AV cablingBuilding and wiring AV racksInstalling and configuring networked AV devices (Dante, AV-over-IP, etc.)Testing, troubleshooting, and validating AV systemsCompleting room setups for conference rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, and similar environmentsReading and following AV drawings, signal flow diagrams, and schematicsCollaborating with leads, PMs, and other trades on-siteCommissioning-related experience (preferred or willing to train):System testing and verificationDevice configuration and programming supportFinal system tuning, calibration, and client-ready handoffAbility to identify issues and deliver polished, functional systemsAdditional helpful skills (not required but beneficial):Basic structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 installation, termination, and testing)Light experience with fiber termination or patchingExperience with AV over structured network environmentsRequired:Valid SST (Site Safety Training) card — physical card requiredA clear photo of the SST card uploaded with your resumeReliable transportation to job sites across NYC, NJ, Long Island, and WestchesterPersonal hand tools appropriate for AV installationAbility to safely lift 50 poundsFamiliarity with on-site safety practicesPreferred CertificationsAVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-DManufacturer certifications with systems such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Shure, Zoom Rooms, etc.Related low-voltage certifications (BICSI, FOA, etc.) are a plus but not requiredTo Apply:Please complete the application form and attach both your resume and a clear photo of your physical SST card to be considered.Salary: $25.00-$40.00 hourlyJob Type: Full-time, On-SiteCompany OverviewSince 2002, Mason Technologies has been a leader in technology integration, proudly certified as a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) both in NYC and nationally.
