Plumbing Department ManagerLocation: Phoenix, AZ Pay: $110,000-$150,000 per year, plus performance bonuses Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM On-Call: Rotating availability for emergency supportLead the People, Projects, and Performance of Our Plumbing DepartmentWe are seeking an experienced Plumbing Department Manager to oversee the daily operations, project coordination, and administrative functions of our plumbing division.This position isn't responsible for running jobs. You will support technicians on difficult jobs, maintain visibility into active projects, oversee dispatch and scheduling, and ensure the department remains organized, accountable, and profitable.The ideal candidate will have hands-on plumbing knowledge, project management experience, and the administrative skills needed to manage job costing, proposals, personnel reviews, and payroll documentation.What We OfferAnnual salary of $110,000-$150,000, based on experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesStable, full-time leadership positionDirect influence over the growth and success of the plumbing departmentSupportive company leadership and administrative teamLong-term professional growth as the company expandsWhat You'll DoLead, coach, and hold plumbing technicians accountable for quality, productivity, and customer serviceProvide technical support when technicians encounter difficult or complex jobsServe as an escalation point for customer concerns and job-related issuesMaintain visibility into schedules, materials, labor needs, deadlines, and outstanding itemsAssist with preparing quotes, estimates, and proposals for small and large projectsReview job scopes and coordinate communication between technicians, customers, dispatch, and leadershipIdentify delays, cost concerns, or staffing issues before they affect project completionReview completed jobs for accuracy, profitability, and coaching opportunitiesDirectly oversee the dispatcher and plumbing department assistantComplete job costing and review labor, materials, margins, and project performanceReview estimates, invoices, timecards, job notes, and departmental recordsMonitor departmental KPIs and report on staffing, workload, productivity, and profitabilityDevelop processes that improve communication, efficiency, and accountabilityWhat You'll BringAt least five years of professional plumbing industry experiencePlumbing project management experience is requiredPrevious experience supervising plumbing technicians or managing a service departmentStrong knowledge of plumbing service, repair, installation, and project requirementsAbility to provide technical guidance on complex plumbing jobsExperience preparing estimates, proposals, scopes of work, or project pricingExperience with job costing, margin review, payroll documentation, and operational reportingStrong leadership, organization, communication, and follow-throughAbility to manage multiple employees, projects, and deadlinesServiceTitan or similar software experience is strongly preferredValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordWhy This Position MattersA successful plumbing department needs a leader who understands the work, manages the details, and gives employees the direction and support needed to succeed.If you are an experienced plumbing leader who can effectively manage people, projects, and department performance, we encourage you to apply.
