What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Trainee - Facilities position at Mason County Public Utility District 3?
PUD 3 is looking to fill student positions in our Facilities Department to work full-time over the summer and potential part-time work during the school year.
- Landscaping
- Mowing
- String trimming (weed eating)
- Weeding
- Trimming shrubbery
- Clearing leaves and debris
- Spreading beauty bark, gravel, etc.
- Assistance with cleaning, window washing, general office maintenance
- Transport vehicles as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Some experience working outdoors or performing physical labor preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, management and customers
- Ability to follow direction and stay on task while completing assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team environment.
- Regular and reliable attendance, with the ability to report to work on time and ready to begin assigned tasks.
Physical Demand & Work Environment
- Use of landscaping equipment
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as raking, digging, and debris removal
- Occasional work near roadways
- Ability to traverse various types of terrain a regular basis
- Work is primarily performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
