Responsibilities
- Plan and execute engaging practices that develop players’ baseball skills, teamwork, and game strategies
- Lead team during games, providing motivation, guidance, and tactical support to ensure competitive play
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages sportsmanship and positive behavior among student-athletes
- Collaborate with school staff, athletic trainers, and other coaches to coordinate schedules and ensure compliance with school policies
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual improvement
- Promote character development through leadership, discipline, and respect both on and off the field
- Organize team meetings, training sessions, and special events to build team cohesion
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports coaching, particularly baseball or similar team sports
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Strong knowledge of baseball rules, techniques, and safety protocols
- Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or extracurricular settings
- Background in physical education, teaching sports fundamentals, or related fields preferred
- Skills in behavior management to foster a respectful and disciplined team environment
- Additional experience in Lifeguard activities, swimming, martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), cheerleading, climbing, or health club settings is a plus but not required
